Adults Services

Giving Adults More Choice and Independence

At SoLO, we believe every adult with a learning disability should have the opportunity to live a fulfilling life, build meaningful relationships and make choices about the things that matter to them.

Our Adult Services offer a wide range of person-centred opportunities for adults aged 18+, with support shaped around different abilities, interests and individual needs. From developing everyday skills and building confidence to getting out into the community, making friends and simply having fun, our services are designed to help each person get more from life. Whether someone has mild or moderate learning disabilities, complex health needs or requires a higher level of individual support, our experienced teams focus on the person first.

Daytime support

Our daytime services provide welcoming, engaging alternatives to traditional day centre provision.

Daylight offers meaningful activities and experiences that support social skills, community access, choice, independence, communication and wellbeing.

For adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex health needs or severe learning disabilities, Evolve provides specialist, person-centred daytime support.

Friendship and fun

Adult life is about more than care. It’s about having friends. Going out. Trying something new. Laughing. Dancing. Sharing experiences and having things to look forward to.

From social groups and discos to community activities and Overnight Breaks, SoLO creates opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to build relationships and enjoy an active social life.  Our SoLO Disco and other adult opportunities provide inclusive spaces where people can socialise, enjoy shared interests and make friends.

Supporting progress at every level

Progress doesn’t look the same for everyone. For one person, it might mean learning a new practical skill. For someone else, it could be making a choice about their day, communicating a preference, coping with a change in routine or feeling confident enough to join a group.

We recognise and celebrate those individual achievements. By creating consistent, supportive and person-centred environments, our teams help adults develop at their own pace, while respecting their needs, choices and individuality.

Opportunities built around the individual

Everyone is different. What independence, achievement and a good day look like will be different too. That’s why our adult services offer a variety of experiences and levels of support.

Our teams take the time to get to know the people we support, working alongside families, carers and other professionals where appropriate. The aim is simple: to create opportunities that are meaningful to the individual.
