Children’s Summer Holiday Breaks

We are delighted to be launching our Children’s Summer Breaks programme for 2026.

This summer, we have a fantastic range of fun, engaging and educational activities planned, for children and young people aged 4-19* giving them the opportunity to make friends, build confidence, learn new skills and create lasting memories in a safe and supportive environment. Our breaks provide valuable respite for families and carers, offering peace of mind while children take part in activities designed around their individual needs and interests.

All our activities are inclusive, with careful planning to support individual needs. Staff support is arranged accordingly, including 1:1 or 1:4 ratios where required. Please check the break information before booking to confirm it is suitable for your child’s age group.

This year we are running the following:

Weekly In-House Activity Days – these days will be packed with activities linked to our weekly themes including crafts, baking and games.

Weekly Sensory Play Days – exploring and engaging through sensory experiences, sensory storytelling, messy and water play.

5 Exciting Day Trips – from swimming, a visit to the cinema,  Attwell Farm and a trip to Twycross Zoo.

A Summer Party – end of summer party with music and games held at Walnut Close.

A Big Day Out at the beach – visit to Weston-super-Mare.

You can see a full breakdown of our summer activities below. Alternatively, you can view and download our Easy Read widget:

HAF Funding

We have been allocated 16 days of HAF funding for our summer breaks, which can be used across all in-house sessions, except the End of Summer Party. This provides 5 funded spaces per day, giving a total of 80 HAF-funded spaces across the summer period.

As spaces are limited, we want to ensure access is fair for all families. To support this, SoLO will initially allocate a minimum of one HAF-funded session per child during the summer breaks. If additional HAF-funded spaces become available, we will contact families to offer further sessions. Where HAF funding is unavailable, standard session costs will apply.

You must provide your HAF code at the time of booking. If you do not have this, you can apply here. To learn more about HAF click here.

How to Book

Places are allocated based on each child’s needs, support requirements, and session availability. Please note, submitting a request does not guarantee a place, allocations are confirmed by our Service Managers via email, and our cancellation policy applies once confirmed. In-borough rates are shown; out-of-borough charges apply.

Make Sure You’re Registered as a Service User

If you have not already done so, the first step is to register with Social Life Opportunities as a Service User.  To register, please email childrens@sololifeopportunities.org or call 0121 779 3865.

👉 Spaces are limited – book early and before 30th June to secure your child’s place.
