SoLO Disco

  • For 4-18* year olds with mild, moderate and complex needs
  • When: Thursdays, 5:00-7:00pm
  • Where: Shirley British Legion, Parkgate, 186 Stratford Road, B90 3BQ
  • Cost: £5 for child/siblings, £1 Parent/Guardian

SoLO’s weekly Children’s Disco welcomes children aged 4–18 with learning disabilities, whether they’re registered with SoLO or not. It’s a fun, friendly space to dance, enjoy music and disco lights, and spend time with other children.

Children registered with SoLO can book for the full term with SoLO staff support, or any child can drop in with a parent or guardian over 18 who stays and looks after them.

Book for the term with SoLO support

If your child is registered with SoLO, you can book their disco place for the full term through our Term-Time Short Breaks. SoLO staff will support your child, so you don’t need to stay. Your child’s booking must be confirmed and paid for before they attend.

Please email childrens@sololifeopportunities.org to enquire about booking a place.

Drop in with a parent or carer

If your child isn’t registered with SoLO, or you don’t want to book for the full term, you can drop in on the weeks you choose, no booking needed. A parent or guardian over 18 must stay throughout the session and be responsible for looking after your child. Siblings are welcome to come along and join in the fun!

This session is subsidised by SMBC as part of our Targeted Community Short Breaks for children and young people with disabilities contract. To obtain further information regarding costs and service eligibility, please click here.

*Eligible up to 19th birthday if in SEN further education.
