Children’s May Half Term Holiday Breaks

Join us this May half term! We’re excited for a week full of fun, friends, and new experiences.

We’ve got a packed programme of activities designed for children and young people with learning disabilities — fun, inclusive, and full of variety.

🎶 Movie & Music Party – relaxed time with films, music & friends
🌿 Sensory Day – calm, engaging, and supportive experiences
🏞️ Fun Park Trip – fresh air, movement, and lots of smiles
🎨 Art Day – creativity, colour, and hands-on fun
🚴‍♂️ Plus a big favourite is back! Bike ride in Tudor Grange Park with Midland Mencap – a brilliant chance to get out on the bikes, have fun, and enjoy being outdoors together!

Everything is designed to help children and young people feel included, supported, and confident while having a great time with friends.

Half Term Activities

 

Tuesday 26 May (In-House)
For all ages

Adventure Day with Park Ride

The day includes a fun outdoor bike ride in Tudor Grange Park with Midland Mencap, giving children the chance to get active, explore, and enjoy time outdoors in a supported setting. This is followed by in-house activities including cake decorating.

Wednesday 27 May (In-House)
For all ages

Sensory Day

Join us for a calm engaging, and fun-filled Sensory Day designed to support children’s curiosity, creativity, and wellbeing. This day offers a variety of hands-on sensory experiences, giving children the chance to explore different textures, sounds, colours, and movements in a safe and nurturing environment.

Thursday 28 May (In-House)
For 4-11 year olds

Fun Day 

Get ready for a jam-packed day of fun, laughter, and adventure! This day offers something for everyone whether your child loves being active, getting creative or trying something new. This includes a fun park visit, bouncy castle, cooking, arts and crafts.

Friday 29 May (In-House)
For all ages 12+

Music and Movie Party

A relaxed chilled day for young people to enjoy arts and crafts, building simple life skills by making their own tasty treats for an end of day movie afternoon where they can relax and enjoy what they have made.

How To Book

Places are allocated based on each child’s needs, support requirements, and session availability. Please note, submitting a request does not guarantee a place, allocations are confirmed by our Service Managers via email, and our cancellation policy applies once confirmed. In-borough rates are shown; out-of-borough charges apply.

Step 1: Register as a Service User 

If you have not already done so, the first step is to register with Social Life Opportunities as a Service User.  To register, please email childrens@sololifeopportunities.org or call 0121 779 3865.

Step 2: Book online

Once registered, complete the online booking form.

During registration, our Service Managers carefully assess each child’s individual needs to match them with suitable holiday breaks. If you’d like to discuss which sessions your child may be eligible for, please contact our children’s team.

👉 Spaces are limited – book early and before 29 April to secure your child’s place.
