A scheme to enable children and young people with disabilities to be able to attend mainstream leisure activities such as youth clubs, sports clubs, uniformed groups etc. with the support of a SoLO Support worker or Volunteer for, initially, six months. After six months, the support is reviewed to determine if the child can access the activity independently, in which case we then introduce another child into the setting. The aim of the scheme is to help settings become more inclusive and increase the opportunities in mainstream provision for children with disabilities.
